For Amazon and Shopify brands that import their inventory from overseas factories
See a stockout coming before your next PO can land
Your best seller looks fine on the shelf today, but the factory needs weeks to produce and the boat needs weeks more. By the time the low stock warning feels urgent, the reorder cannot land in time. A stockout on Amazon costs the sales and the ranking you spent ad money building.
What it can cost you
Example: a best seller sells 60 units a day at $14 margin and is out of stock for 18 days = $15,120 in lost margin, before the ranking hit.An illustration, not a promise. Your Opportunity Scan puts a real number on it.
What the system checks overnight
- Calculates daily sell-through per SKU across Amazon and Shopify, comparing the recent week to the trailing month.
- Adds up on-hand stock at FBA and your 3PL plus units already inbound.
- Pulls each supplier's production lead time, transit time, and receiving time from your PO tracker.
- Flags any SKU whose days of cover is shorter than its full lead time plus your safety buffer.
- Flags open POs that still have no confirmed ship date from the factory.
Where it reads from
- Amazon Seller Central
- Shopify
- ShipBob
- Google Sheets (PO tracker)
Factory holiday calendars such as Lunar New Year, which stretch lead times every year.
What happens when it fires
You choose to reorder now, pay for a partial air shipment, or slow ad spend on that SKU. The system drafts the PO and an email asking the factory whether part of the order can ship early.
Autonomy level: Draft for approval. The system prepares the message or task, and you approve it before anything goes out.
What we guarantee
Days of cover recalculated for every active SKU every night, with any SKU under its lead time flagged in the next brief. We agree on the metric before the Sprint starts and measure it over the first 20 business days after go-live. If we miss it, you get half your Sprint fee back. Dollar savings are tracked in your monthly saves log, reported rather than promised.
Questions
Doesn't Seller Central already give restock recommendations?
It does for FBA stock, but it does not know your factory lead time, the PO already in production, or what Shopify is selling out of your 3PL. This puts both channels and your real lead time into one number.
Our lead times differ by supplier. Does that matter?
Yes, and it uses each supplier's own lead time from your tracker. If a supplier keeps shipping late, it uses what actually happened instead of what they promised.
Do I need new software for this?
No. The system reads from the tools you already use, with read-only access by default. A guardrail layer controls exactly which data the AI can see.
What does it cost?
A 3-week Sprint is $6,000 fixed and includes the morning brief plus one automation tied to an agreed metric. Ongoing support is $1,500 a month, or $500 a month to keep it running without new automations. If the agreed metric is missed over the first 20 business days after go-live, half the Sprint fee is refunded.
How is this different from a dashboard app or a free AI kit?
A dashboard app shows numbers when you go look. A free AI kit gives you the parts, and you do the setup, the upkeep, and the checking. Here the alarms are built for your kind of business, they watch outside data like market rates and rule changes alongside yours, and on Run or Keep-Running, the person who built them keeps them working and logs what they caught.
More alarms for E-commerce importers
Seven more things worth watching.
- Freight quote swingsCompare every forwarder quote against your lane history and other forwarders before you book, so a padded ocean or air quote gets caught in time.
- Buy Box loss or listing suppressionGet flagged when an ASIN loses the Buy Box, gets suppressed, picks up a new seller, or has stranded inventory, before days of sales slip away.
- Ad spend efficiency driftSpot campaigns, search terms, and bid rules that are quietly raising ACOS and TACOS, so ad spend goes back to what actually sells.
- Landed cost creepRebuild landed cost per unit on every PO from factory price, freight, duty, and fees, and flag when it drifts past what your pricing assumes.
- 3PL receiving delays and count gapsMatch every inbound shipment to its packing list at your 3PL and FBA, and flag slow receiving or short counts while you can still file a claim.
- Return rate spikes by SKUFlag SKUs and variants whose return rate jumps, group the return reasons, and tie the spike to a factory batch so you can act fast.
- Cash tied up in slow inventoryFind the SKUs holding your cash with weeks of supply, aged storage fees, and next PO payments in view, so you can clear them on purpose.
