Catch balances left open when dogs go home
Pickup is busy, and a family leaves with the bill still open or an add-on never rung up. A few a week turns into a long list of small balances that are awkward to chase later.
What it can cost you
Example: 10 open balances a week x $40 average x 50 weeks = $20,000 a year left to chase. An illustration, not a promise. Your Opportunity Scan puts a real number on it.
What the system checks overnight
- Lists checkouts with a balance still open.
- Compares add-ons logged during a stay to add-ons charged.
- Flags clients with an open balance and an upcoming booking.
- Shows open balances by age.
- Checks cards on file that declined at checkout.

What happens when it fires
The front desk sends payment links and flags balances at the next drop-off. The system drafts both.
Autonomy level: Draft for approval. The system prepares the message or task, and you approve it before anything goes out.
What we guarantee
Every checkout with an open balance is in the brief by the next morning. We agree on the metric before the Sprint starts and measure it over the first 20 business days after go-live. If we miss it, you get half your Sprint fee back. Dollar savings are tracked in your monthly saves log, reported rather than promised.
Questions
Will it send families to collections?
No. It flags open balances early and drafts friendly reminders, so they stay small.
What counts as an add-on that was missed?
Anything logged during the stay, like a bath or extra play session, that does not appear on the final invoice.
Do I need new software for this?
No. The system reads from the tools you already use, with read-only access by default. A guardrail layer controls exactly which data the AI can see.
What does it cost?
A 3-week Sprint is $6,000 fixed and includes the morning brief plus one automation tied to an agreed metric. Ongoing support is $1,500 a month, or $500 a month to keep it running without new automations. If the agreed metric is missed over the first 20 business days after go-live, half the Sprint fee is refunded.
How is this different from a dashboard app or a free AI kit?
A dashboard app shows numbers when you go look. A free AI kit gives you the parts, and you do the setup, the upkeep, and the checking. Here the alarms are built for your kind of business, they watch outside data like market rates and rule changes alongside yours, and on Run or Keep-Running, the person who built them keeps them working and logs what they caught.
More alarms for pet grooming, boarding, and daycare
Seven more things worth watching.
- Boarding occupancy paceCompare upcoming boarding and daycare bookings to last year's pace by date and run type, and spot soft weeks early enough to fill them.
- Vaccine records expiringFlag booked pets whose vaccine records on file will expire before their stay, so owners send updates ahead of check-in instead of at the desk.
- Daycare package renewalsFlag daycare packages and memberships that are nearly used up, expired, or failed to renew, so families get a renewal note before they stop coming.
- Holiday no-shows and depositsFlag peak boarding reservations with no deposit, repeat no-show clients, and late cancels that held a run you could have sold.
- Grooming rebooking gapsSpot grooming clients past their usual return interval with no appointment, by groomer, so you can rebook them before they find another groomer.
- Staff coverage and overtimeCompare scheduled staff to booked daycare and boarding dogs by shift, and flag understaffed playgroups and overtime building up before payroll.
- Review dropsWatch pet care Google reviews for rating drops, new low reviews, and unanswered reviews by location, so you can respond quickly and calmly.
