Catch shingle and material price increases on signed roofs

Suppliers raise shingle and accessory prices with short notice. A job signed in spring at last season's cost might not get built until summer. If nobody checks the backlog against the new prices, the margin shrinks on every roof in the queue.

What it can cost you

Example: a $9 per square increase x 30 squares x 25 backlog jobs = $6,750 in margin. An illustration, not a promise. Your Opportunity Scan puts a real number on it.

What the system checks overnight

  • Reads supplier invoices and price notices for cost changes on the products you use most.
  • Lists signed but unbuilt jobs that use the products whose cost went up.
  • Shows the margin each backlog job now carries at today's cost.
  • Flags estimate templates still using old material prices.
  • Flags supplier invoices that do not match the price quoted for that order.

Where it reads from

  • JobNimbus
  • AccuLynx
  • Roofr
  • QuickBooks Online

Watches supplier price notices and invoice line items for material cost changes.

What happens when it fires

You decide whether to order early, reprice templates, or absorb it. The system lists the jobs worth ordering ahead and drafts the template price update.

Autonomy level: Suggest only. The brief tells you what changed and what to do. Nothing happens without you.

What we guarantee

Every supplier cost change is checked against the full backlog within a day of the notice or invoice. We agree on the metric before the Sprint starts and measure it over the first 20 business days after go-live. If we miss it, you get half your Sprint fee back. Dollar savings are tracked in your monthly saves log, reported rather than promised.

Questions

Can it order material for us?

No. It tells you which jobs to order ahead of the increase and how much is at stake. Ordering stays with your team.

What about insurance jobs priced off the carrier's estimate?

Those are flagged separately, since the claim sets your price. The check there is whether the new cost still leaves room on the approved scope.

Do I need new software for this?

No. The system reads from the tools you already use, with read-only access by default. A guardrail layer controls exactly which data the AI can see.

What does it cost?

A 3-week Sprint is $6,000 fixed and includes the morning brief plus one automation tied to an agreed metric. Ongoing support is $1,500 a month, or $500 a month to keep it running without new automations. If the agreed metric is missed over the first 20 business days after go-live, half the Sprint fee is refunded.

How is this different from a dashboard app or a free AI kit?

A dashboard app shows numbers when you go look. A free AI kit gives you the parts, and you do the setup, the upkeep, and the checking. Here the alarms are built for your kind of business, they watch outside data like market rates and rule changes alongside yours, and on Run or Keep-Running, the person who built them keeps them working and logs what they caught.
