For Independent construction, general, and party rental yards, single location or a few branches
See which units sit idle on the yard while another branch needs them
Some units sit on the back row for weeks while you keep making payments on them. Meanwhile another branch is turning away the same class of machine. Nobody sees both at once, so you buy more fleet instead of moving what you have.
What it can cost you
Example: 6 idle units at $45,000 each, costing 1.5% a month to carry = $4,050 a month in capital not earning. An illustration, not a promise. Your Opportunity Scan puts a real number on it.
What the system checks overnight
- Counts consecutive idle days per unit and totals idle capital by class and branch at acquisition cost.
- Compares time utilization by class to the targets you set for that class.
- Flags classes idle at one branch while another branch has lost rentals or a waitlist for the same class.
- Lists units that have not been on rent in a long time and are candidates to sell.
- Watches units marked down for repair that have not moved back to ready.
Where it reads from
- Point of Rental, Wynne Systems, InTempo, Texada, Quipli, or Alert EasyPro
- QuickBooks Online (fleet financing)
Used equipment auction and dealer listings for your idle models, to show what a unit would bring if sold.
What happens when it fires
You decide to transfer, push a rental special, or sell. The system drafts the transfer request between branches and a list of sell candidates with recent auction prices.
Autonomy level: Suggest only. The brief tells you what changed and what to do. Nothing happens without you.
What we guarantee
Idle days and idle capital refreshed for every unit every night, with cross-branch mismatches flagged the next morning. We agree on the metric before the Sprint starts and measure it over the first 20 business days after go-live. If we miss it, you get half your Sprint fee back. Dollar savings are tracked in your monthly saves log, reported rather than promised.
Questions
Our software already shows utilization. What does this add?
It puts idle capital in dollars next to demand at your other branches, every morning, so the move or sell decision is obvious instead of a monthly report.
Does it count units down for repair as idle?
No. Down units are tracked separately, so you can see repair delays apart from units that are simply not renting.
Do I need new software for this?
No. The system reads from the tools you already use, with read-only access by default. A guardrail layer controls exactly which data the AI can see.
What does it cost?
A 3-week Sprint is $6,000 fixed and includes the morning brief plus one automation tied to an agreed metric. Ongoing support is $1,500 a month, or $500 a month to keep it running without new automations. If the agreed metric is missed over the first 20 business days after go-live, half the Sprint fee is refunded.
How is this different from a dashboard app or a free AI kit?
A dashboard app shows numbers when you go look. A free AI kit gives you the parts, and you do the setup, the upkeep, and the checking. Here the alarms are built for your kind of business, they watch outside data like market rates and rule changes alongside yours, and on Run or Keep-Running, the person who built them keeps them working and logs what they caught.

Seven more things worth watching.
- Turning away rentals for lack of unitsTrack quotes and reservations lost because a class was out or down for repair, so you know where to redeploy, repair faster, or buy.
- Unbilled rental daysCatch contracts past their return date with no cycle invoice, off-rent calls with no pickup, and returns left open, so every day on rent is billed.
- Rental rates slipping below bookCompare realized rates to book rates on every contract by class, customer, and counter rep, so discounting stays a choice and not a habit.
- Damage, fuel, and cleaning not chargedCompare return inspections and work orders to final invoices, so fuel, damage, cleaning, and missing parts get charged instead of written off.
- Units costing more to fix than they earnTrack lifetime revenue, repair cost, and downtime per unit, so the money-pit machines get sold before they drain another season of profit.
- Delivery charges not covering truckingCompare delivery and pickup charges to driver time, fuel, and truck cost per job, so you stop giving away the trucking on long and slow runs.
- Contractor accounts sliding past termsWatch AR aging by customer, flag accounts renting more while paying slower, and track the notice dates you set, so slow payers do not grow.
